InterAct Story Theatre

A fruitful partnership between Key’s Pre-School and InterAct Story Theatre of Silver Spring, Maryland has been evolving over several years. A professional theatre company, InterAct’s staff members are professional actors who are experienced educators. This unique mix of skills enhances the impact of their programs and products. InterAct initially visited Key to conduct a series of workshops during which their actors worked with the Pre-School children on ways to incorporate drama, dance and creative movement with stories read in the classroom. Philosophical similarities between Key and InterAct became apparent during these visits, and the Pre-School faculty ascertained the potential benefits of this rich resource for the Pre-School. A gratifying working relationship between the faculty and the actors has since emerged.
