We know there are many pieces of information to manage when joining a new school community. This page will help facilitate your family’s smooth transition to Key by providing “one-stop shopping” for important health forms and information such as After School Program registration, summer reading lists, and orchestral instrumental lesson forms.
Click on the appropriate Division tab below for information you will need to prepare for the upcoming academic year. While most resources are currently available, several have anticipated posting dates.

- FIRST SCHOOL: Key-Wee, Pre-School, Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten

First School Orientation
Friday, August 25 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. in the First School Building.
All new and returning students and their parents are invited to attend.
Meet the Teachers!
On August 14, you will receive an email from the First School Division Office inviting you to sign up for a twenty-minute meeting with the teacher on either August 21 or 22.
Lower School Orientation
Friday, August 25 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. in the Manse for all new students.
All first grade students (new and returning) are invited to meet their teachers from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon in the first grade classrooms.
Middle School Orientation
Friday, August 25 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. in the Barn for all new students.
All new and returning 5th grade students are invited to attend.

Foreign Language and Math Placement - The Middle School will reach out to schedule placement tests if needed.

Upper School Orientation
Friday, August 25 from 10:00-12:00 noon in Katharine Hall for all new students.
All new and returning 9th grade students are invited to attend.
One-on-One Meeting with Brian MichaelsThese one-on-one meetings provide an opportunity to get better acquainted and afford time to address questions, assist with course selections, and begin the orientation process. Cindi will reach out to new families to schedule the meetings.
Upper School Forms and Resources
Course Selection - page contains grade-specific course selection worksheets and a list of course offerings. Use these materials to begin working on desired course selections. The schedule will be finalized during the one-on-one meeting with Brian Michaels.Summer Math and Reading
Fall Season Athletics Forms - On-campus physicals will be offered Friday, August 11 and concussion testing will be offered Monday, August 14.
Pre-season practices begin Tuesday, August 15. Go to team sport on Key's Athletic homepage for full schedule.
Music Lessons (Grades 2-12) - registration available in JulySupply Lists - there are no supply lists. Teachers will inform students of course-specific supplies during the first days of School. All Upper School students will be provided with a Key School academic planner
