Key School Earns Maryland Green School Certification

The Key School has officially earned Maryland Green School Certification by the Maryland Association of Environmental & Outdoor Education. This designation comes after a lengthy application process that required an in-depth review of the School's programs and philosophy as well as substantiation of a sustained dedication to environmental initiatives.

Upper School Service Learning in Thailand

A group of twenty-four Upper School students experienced village life in the hill tribes of northwestern Thailand first-hand as part of their service-learning trip during spring break.

Fine and Performing Arts Center

Inspired to look beyond Key’s 50th Anniversary, the vision for the future includes a long-awaited Fine and Performing Arts Center. Since its inception, Key School has recognized the value of arts education and believes that the development of each student is dependent on intellectual endeavors in the visual and performing arts. Indisputably, the arts flourish at Key as witnessed annually by the entire community at Key Theater productions, Orff Schulwerk performances, and musical evenings that feature the Chorus, Key Dancers, and instrumental ensembles. Initial funding will be used for architectural fees and site drawings for the building. It is exciting to imagine a space wholly dedicated to this signature program of The Key School.
