Making Schools Safe Conference

A delegation of Upper School students and several faculty members from Key’s Middle and Upper Schools spent a Saturday in Baltimore attending this year’s AIMS Making Schools Safe Conference, titled “Brave Conversations about Sexuality and Gender.” In addition to conversations with peers and colleagues from other independent Maryland schools, this year’s conference attendees had the opportunity to hear keynote speaker Dr. Jennifer Bryan, a nationally regarded researcher and educator who has written and taught extensively about sexuality and gender diversity.

Key’s representatives were: Sofia Broida ‘18, Racheal Fisher ‘19, Katherine Gonzales ‘18, Lily Hall’18, Ellen McDermott ‘16, Seryn Rathmann ‘17, Malika Waleed ‘18, Reagan Wright ‘17, and Lilian Zancago-Lugo ‘16, accompanied by faculty members, Randi Altschuler, Hallie Herz, Sarah Judd, and Brian Michaels.
