Key Theater Presents...You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown
This classic tale captures a day in the life of the inept but ever-hopeful Charlie Brown, as it chronicles the lessons he learns from sister Sally, bossy Lucy, brainy Linus, Beethoven super-fan Schroeder, savvy beagle Snoopy, and the elusive Little Red-Haired Girl.
The show, comprising a series of vignettes, starts with six bored five and six-year-olds who, upon discovering an old trunk full of dress-up clothes, decide to use their imagination to act out their favorite Peanuts characters. Each actor becomes his or her Peanuts persona by donning items of clothing typically found in a child’s closet. As costume designs reveal character and emotion, create a sense of time and place, and enhance and illuminate the script, Theater Director Eric Langmeyer wanted to honor the show's magic by giving each character an utterly unique appearance.
You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown embodies playfulness, imagination and enjoyment of the simpler things in life and the cast has fully embraced the show's silliness and sweetness, its humor and its hopefulness. The children in the audience will get a taste of the fun they can have through the power of imagination while adult viewers return to fond memories of first loves and the joys of their childhood.
Please join us for You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown on March 17, 18 and 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the Activity Building. Tickets are $10.00 and available at the door.
