First Grade Announcements

  In math we had Mystery Boxes with Mrs. Young, read a delightful book about time, worked in our Chicago Math workbooks for the last time, and made origami frogs. Among other activities, the children practiced their addition facts with partners using addition circles, as shown below.

• Ms. Crim - June 2, 2008

  This week we will complete our study of birds. The children will gather materials around campus to build their own nest out of. We will also have some time for the children to share their bird reports with each other.

• Ms. Fetters - June 2, 2008

  The children did start the first grade memory books last week and are still working to finish them up. In addition the children will work on a friendship book this week. Both of these small books are nice supplements to the Key School Yearbook—which will be distributed soon.
