Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging

Building Belonging

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) are not separate initiatives at Key; they are part of how our community lives and learns every day. Grounded in students’ natural curiosity about themselves and the world, these values shape how we teach, how students engage with one another, and how we support every learner.

We believe a strong sense of belonging is essential to academic excellence. When students feel seen and supported, they are more willing to take intellectual risks, think critically, and remain curious. By fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment, we prepare students to lead and thrive in an ever-changing world.

Since our founding, Key has welcomed families from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. This diversity strengthens our community and helps students grow into thoughtful, engaged, and empathetic individuals.

Our goal is clear: every student should feel valued, supported, and that they truly belong. From this foundation, students develop a strong sense of self and the confidence to grow, connect, and contribute meaningfully to the world around them.
