Congress Is in Session!
- Upper School
Key Upper School students participated in this year’s virtual Princeton Model Congress (PMC), the oldest model congress in America. Andrew Baker '24, Ella Benitez '24, Max Fishback '24, and Andrew Nolan '23 joined approximately 1,000 students from around the country to simulate the experience of serving in all three branches of American government. At PMC, which is led by college students from the oldest debate union in the country, students can debate bills in Congress, sit on the bench as a Supreme Court Justice, or counsel the President as a member of the Presidential Cabinet.
To achieve a sense of real teamwork and get more of the community experience that Model Congress exemplifies, some of Key’s students decided to attend parts of the conference together by joining their Zoom calls from the same room on Key’s campus and touching base between sessions.
Congratulations to Max who earned an Honorable Mention for his work on the Senate's Environment and Public Works Committee.
