Upper School Spanish Language Students Tell the Tale of the Spanish Civil War

  • Upper School

Key’s Spanish Language and Literature class, which is taught entirely in Spanish, not only solidifies grammatical and structural knowledge of the language, but also seeks to inculcate an appreciation for Spanish literature and culture. To that end, students have been studying the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) and were asked to research and choose one aspect of the war and explain it to their classmates using a video format or voice over a presentation. Juniors Jacqueline Brutus and Elizabeth Hughes joined forces and created a beautifully crafted and informative presentation based on hand-drawn pictures with a voice over that needs no translation.
