About
Founded in 1958 by professors from St. John's College, Key School engages children from 2.5 years of age through grade 12 in a progressive, coeducational, college-preparatory, day program on its picturesque 15-acre campus located 4 miles from downtown Annapolis.

Key's rigorous academic program emphasizes experiential learning, interdisciplinary studies and global perspectives while encouraging both collaboration and independent thinking.

Transportation

Transportation for 2025-2026 - Expressing interest in using transportation services to and/or from school is part of the online contract enrollment process. If you did not express interest but wish to do so now, please contact enrollment@keyschool.org.

A Google Maps-based Carpool Module showing Key families in your area is available in July on the secure Family Portal. Families have the option to opt out of the module.

Key School works with several local services to offer transportation to and from campus. The exact routes and fees are dependent on ridership and level of demonstrated interest and may change slightly from year to year.

Key currently offers routes to and from the following locations:

Bowie/Davidsonville
Millersville/Crownsville/Severna Park
Late bus to Bowie
