Attending Key School is a big decision, one that will positively impact your student’s entire future. We also understand it’s a significant financial investment for families. To ensure Key's top-tier education is accessible to all mission-appropriate students, Key offers both need-based financial aid and merit scholarships to actively recruit talented students who demonstrate extraordinary academic, athletic, artistic, and/or leadership promise.

Merit scholarships are available to new applicants to grades 6-12 and current students entering 9th grade. Awards range from $2,000 to $12,000. Students eligible for financial aid can receive a combination of merit and financial aid. These scholarships are not loans—they never have to be repaid.

Students will continue to receive the same level of merit scholarship annually through graduation as long as they are in good standing, as a student and community member, and active within their specific area of study or passion.

Selection Process

Scholarship recipients will be chosen after review by a Scholarship Committee comprised of administrators and admission staff. Recipients will be notified before admission decisions are issued in February.

Middle School

Grades 5-8

$35,250 - 8:15 a.m. - 3:20 p.m.

Interscholastic sports are available to all Middle School students starting in Grade 6, all three seasons. There are no additional fees for participation in organized sports.

The After School Program is available until 6:00 p.m. (see below).

Grade Fee

The grade fee covers additional expenses for which many schools bill separately, as incurred over the year.
$1,150 for Middle School

Tuition Discount(s) for Siblings

A 5% tuition credit is allowed for the third child enrolled; 10% is allowed for the fourth child enrolled. The tuition credit is applied to the youngest child and does not apply to financial aid recipients.

Upper School

Grades 9-12

$37,185 - 8:15 a.m. - 3:25 p.m.
In addition to after school athletics and other co-curricular activities, the Science and Library Center is open to Upper School students for supervised study after school until 7:00 p.m. from August through April, and until 5:30 p.m. for May and June. There are no additional fees for these services.
