Key Athletics: Home of the Zags

Key’s athletic program is driven by a commitment to compete—and to win. Our student-athletes bring intensity, focus, and a pursuit of excellence, both in competition and in the classroom.

Highly competitive and participatory, the program offers opportunities to engage in multiple sports while developing the skills, resilience, and confidence to perform at a high level. Along the way, students grow as leaders and teammates, competing with integrity and pride.

Our Program

Interscholastic athletics begin in Middle School, where students build foundational skills, develop a competitive mindset, and experience the energy of team competition through meaningful participation. When students arrive in Upper School, the level of play rises—athletes are pushed to compete at the highest level, refine their performance, and represent Key with intensity, discipline, and pride.

Athletic Facilities

At Key, our athletics facilities match our commitment to competition. Just two miles from campus, the 70-acre state-of-the-art Fusco Athletic Park features two multi-purpose fields, eight tennis courts, a baseball diamond, a 1.7-mile nature trail, and a pavilion with locker rooms and a fully equipped athletic training room, along with additional support facilities. On the main campus, students benefit from three multi-purpose fields—including one set along the water—as well as a main gym and athletic training room, providing exceptional spaces to train, compete, and grow.
