Get off the Bench...

Key's senior leadership has developed a playbook to operationalize Key’s strategic plan, Key 360°, encompassing all aspects of the Key experience.

This plan focuses on making enhancements to all aspects of the Key experience from academic programming and faculty growth, to our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, student citizenship and the physical campus.

Two vital areas on campus have been identified as areas where enhancements should be prioritized to better align the physical campus environment with Key 360° priorities: the First School’s current Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom and the Upper School Science and Library Center.

...and Get in the Game

The Key on Three fundraising campaign is your chance to join the team, get in the game and leave a lasting impact on Key School. No gift is too big or too small in support of a new First School Nature Play and Learning Space and Upper School Science and Library Center renovation. With dozens of giving opportunities at all levels of support, the Key on Three campaign is accessible to the entire Key community.

A STRONG START:
First School Nature Play and Learning Space

The transformative impact of a Key School education begins the moment that our youngest students step onto campus. A primary component of the First School experience is the outdoor learning space, which connects children with nature and supports cognitive, social, emotional and physical development.

Installing a Nature Play and Learning Space is much, much more than updating a traditional playground with new equipment. We have thoughtfully redesigned our existing playground with the intention of actively engaging students through all of their senses and creating fascinating, purposeful spaces for children to learn, explore and play.

THE VICTORY FORMATION:

Science and Library Center Renovation

To support the growth and development of the 21st century student, Key’s campus must provide Upper School students with a physical space that can adapt to meet their individual needs — from space for collaboration and connection, to a place for quiet, independent study and accessible academic support and accommodations.

This renovation creates a mission-aligned space for Key’s oldest students that encourages learning by doing, fosters independent thinking, and enables students to incorporate their experiences into the learning process. Intentionally designed with our students in mind, the renovated Science and Library Center will thoughtfully utilize space to reflect Key’s mission, commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, as well as support students, faculty and the larger Key School community.
